Privacy Policy

Version 2026-09-22.1 · Last updated September 22, 2026

1. Scope and responsible operator

This policy applies to LivestockLogix websites, accounts, marketplace tools, and related support and communications. “LivestockLogix,” “we,” and “us” mean the operator of livestocklogix.com. Sellers and linked third parties may separately control information they receive and are responsible for their own privacy practices.

2. Information we collect

  • Account and identity: email address, display name, optional buyer phone number, account identifiers, authentication and recovery events, policy acceptances, privacy choices, roles, permissions, and account status.
  • Seller profile: business name, seller type, logo, address or service area, contact details and preferences, websites, seller agreements, administrative review history, and profile changes.
  • Listings and animal records: live-cattle, semen, and embryo information; animal identity, registration, pedigree, genetics, EPDs and source dates; price and inventory; storage and location; photos, photo notes, logos, descriptions, availability, fulfillment, health or breeding details submitted by users, and approval or edit history.
  • Marketplace activity: favorites, saved searches, seller follows, search and filter choices, listing and animal views, shares, outbound listing clicks, contact reveals, inquiries, conversations, message-read state, and notification preferences and delivery records.
  • Support: case subject and type, messages, attachments, status, and technical context submitted with a case, including the current page, browser family, device class, application build, and submission time.
  • Billing: plan, price, billing status, credits, billing dates, processor customer and subscription identifiers, and limited transaction records. A payment processor handles full payment-card details; LivestockLogix does not store full card numbers.
  • Optional analytics: page and feature activity, search state, listing impressions and interactions, campaign parameters, referrer host, approximate country or region, locale, browser timezone, viewport class, browser/device/operating-system family, anonymous browser identifier, session identifier, and related event context.
  • Essential technical and security data: session and preference storage, request timestamps, application and network logs, rate-limit and abuse signals, error details, and information reasonably needed to authenticate users, deliver requested features, diagnose failures, and protect the service.

LivestockLogix does not intentionally collect precise GPS location, government identification numbers, human health records, or full payment-card numbers. Infrastructure providers may process IP addresses in ordinary request and security logs. The custom website-analytics event store is designed not to retain full IP addresses. We do not store precise GPS, city, coordinates, or full IP addresses in optional analytics.

3. Sources of information

We receive information directly from you; automatically from your browser and use of the service; from buyers, sellers, administrators, and people who communicate with you; from service providers; and from public, licensed, commercial, or registry-related cattle data sources. An administrator may add, correct, document, or moderate information as part of data and listing review.

4. Why we use information

  • create, authenticate, secure, and administer accounts;
  • publish and search approved listings and animal records;
  • provide favorites, follows, saved searches, messaging, support, notifications, and billing;
  • review listings, profiles, photos, notes, edits, and seller permissions;
  • provide seller and platform insights, measure demand, and improve search and product design;
  • prevent fraud, scraping, spam, misuse, security incidents, and duplicate or misleading submissions;
  • keep acceptance, transaction, audit, moderation, and support records;
  • enforce agreements, resolve disputes, and comply with legal obligations; and
  • create aggregated or derived reports that do not reasonably identify a person or agricultural producer.

5. Public information and user-directed sharing

Approved listings, seller pages, logos, animal information, photos, photo notes, prices, locations at the level shown, and other content submitted for publication may be visible to the public and may be indexed, copied, or reshared by others despite platform restrictions. Do not publish information you need to keep confidential.

When a buyer starts a seller conversation, the buyer's display name, message, and any contact details the buyer chooses to send are shared with that seller. Conversation participants receive the messages and listing context intended for them. Platform administrators may access communications when reasonably necessary for support, safety, moderation, legal compliance, or system administration. Internal support notes are not shown to customers.

6. Service providers and other disclosures

Vendors may process information for hosting, content delivery, authentication, database and private-file storage, security, diagnostics, email delivery, and payment processing. Current platform infrastructure includes services provided by Supabase, Cloudflare, and Resend; paid features may use Stripe. Provider roles and products may change as the service develops.

We may also disclose information when you direct us to do so; to professional advisers under appropriate duties; to investigate abuse or protect rights and safety; to comply with lawful process; or in a financing, merger, acquisition, bankruptcy, or transfer of all or part of the business, subject to applicable law. We require processors to handle data under their applicable terms and agreements. Where law requires additional processor restrictions or safeguards, those requirements apply to our use of the provider.

7. Agricultural data

Producers retain ownership and control of their agricultural data to the extent applicable law provides. LivestockLogix processes producer-linked livestock and management data only to provide, secure, improve, and administer authorized services, including public listing display, seller insights, aggregated reporting, derived insights, data integrity, product improvement, and internal model or algorithm training used for the service.

8. Cookies, local storage, and analytics choices

Essential browser storage supports authentication, security, drafts, session continuity, privacy choices, interface settings, and features you request. When you intentionally favorite or follow something, submit a listing, start a conversation, send a message, or use another account feature, we keep the operational record needed to provide, secure, audit, and display that feature. Those requested-feature records are separate from optional analytics.

Optional first-party analytics measures browsing and product-use activity such as searches, impressions, page and listing activity, clicks, and shares. Optional analytics is off unless you allow it, and declining it does not remove marketplace or account features.

Guests may choose “Use essential only” or “Allow optional analytics.” Members can change the same choice in Account Setup. Withdrawing optional analytics stops new optional events on that browser; it does not erase lawfully retained historical, security, operational, aggregated, or deidentified records. A supported browser Global Privacy Control signal keeps optional analytics off. Because “Do Not Track” is not a uniform standard, we do not separately respond to that signal.

9. Sale, sharing, and targeted advertising

LivestockLogix does not sell personal information for money and does not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising as those terms are defined by applicable U.S. state privacy laws. We do not currently run third-party behavioral advertising. Publicly displaying a listing at the seller's direction and using processors to provide the service are not advertising-data sales, but public content can be viewed and copied by others.

10. Retention and deletion

Retention depends on the record and why it is needed. Account and profile data is generally kept while the account is active. Current listings are kept while active; approved animal records, listing and profile review history, policy acceptance, billing, support, security, notification, and audit records may remain longer to preserve data integrity, prevent fraud, document transactions and permissions, enforce agreements, comply with law, and resolve disputes. Messages may be retained for participants and platform safety. Analytics may be retained in identifiable, pseudonymous, aggregated, or deidentified form according to operational need.

Account closure does not automatically delete public or historical records that must be preserved, and ownership links may be removed or identifiers anonymized instead. Data may remain temporarily in backups until overwritten in the ordinary cycle. When applicable law requires deletion or deidentification, we will do so subject to permitted exceptions, legal holds, and record-integrity needs. A request to delete a listing photo does not automatically remove a separately approved permanent animal-record photo.

11. Security and incident response

We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed for the nature and volume of the information, including access controls, account authentication, private storage where appropriate, logging, review workflows, and database authorization rules. No online service is perfectly secure. Users must protect their credentials and report suspected compromise. If an incident occurs, we will take responsive steps and provide notices as applicable law requires.

12. Your privacy choices and rights

You can update profile and contact details, password, notification preferences, and optional analytics in Account Setup. Depending on applicable law, you may request access to or a portable copy of personal information, correction, deletion, information about collection and disclosure, or restriction of certain processing. You may also have rights to opt out of sale, sharing, targeted advertising, or qualifying profiling; we do not currently engage in those listed activities.

Submit a request through Help & Support. Describe the right you want to exercise. We may verify identity and authority, request additional information, deny or limit a request where an exception applies, and retain a record of the request. An authorized agent may submit a request where applicable law permits, subject to proof of authority and identity verification. If we deny an appealable request, you may appeal by replying to the case and clearly labeling it “Privacy Appeal.” We will not unlawfully discriminate against you for exercising privacy rights.

13. State privacy disclosures

The categories collected in the preceding 12 months may include identifiers and contact information; commercial and transaction information; internet or electronic activity; approximate geolocation; professional or business information; photographs and other user content; inferences and preferences; and account credentials or other information treated as sensitive under applicable law. We collect these categories from the sources in Section 3, use them for the purposes in Section 4, and disclose them to the recipient categories in Sections 5 and 6. We do not use or disclose sensitive personal information to infer characteristics in a manner that creates a right to limit under California law.

State-law rights and business thresholds differ. This section is intended to provide useful transparency and does not represent that every state law applies to LivestockLogix or to every record.

14. Children and teenagers

LivestockLogix accounts and marketplace transactions are intended for adults at least 18 years old. The service is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly permit a person under 18 to create an account. If you believe a minor provided personal information, report it through Help & Support so the account and information can be reviewed.

15. United States service and external links

LivestockLogix is operated for the United States. Information may be processed in the United States and in locations where service providers operate. Do not use the service from another jurisdiction unless you understand the transfer and local-law implications. Links to registries, sellers, and other websites are governed by their own privacy policies.

16. Policy changes

We may update this policy when practices, providers, or laws change. The current version and date appear above. Material changes will be highlighted through the service, and signed-in members may be asked to acknowledge a new version. We will not apply a materially different use retroactively without notice and consent where legally required.

17. Contact

Privacy questions, requests, appeals, and security reports may be sent through Help & Support. If you cannot sign in, use the password-recovery flow first.
